The Belterra venue was warm and intimate and perfect for the concert. His musicians added just the right amount of accompaniment from R&B to blues to rock. Of The Trees proves that you can teach a new dog (and I say that with respect) old tricks. My wife and I enjoyed his songs from his Lido and Lowdown as much as Memphis, his new album. Now if we had just gotten seats away from the three bimbos behind us yammering throughout the concert, it would have been absolutely perfect. Whatever happened to good manners and consideration from fellow concertgoers? It's not like it was a Ted Nugent or Kiss concert. His was one of the few concerts I've seen where a performer with big hits from the 70's/80's can still deliver and hit the notes on pitch with fresh takes on new and old songs.
